Product Description
MG-Optics Provides high precision N-BK7 mirror, including on-axis asphric mirror, off-axis Aspheric Mirror, off-axis parabola mirror(OAP) and freeform optics 
Diameter can achieve 600mm, RMS is better than 1/100 wavelength 632.8nm. N-BK7 mirror is suitable for beam expansion and collimation applications in laser systems.

N-BK7 Optical Properties:

1. Refractive Index:

  • N-BK7 has a refractive index of approximately 1.5168 at the sodium D line (589 nm). This relatively high refractive index makes it suitable for a range of Optical Components.

2. Abbe Number (V-number):

  • The Abbe number of N-BK7 is around 64.2, indicating low dispersion. This property allows for better color correction in optical systems, minimizing chromatic aberration.

3. Transmission Range:

  • N-BK7 offers good transmission in the visible spectrum (approximately 400 nm to 700 nm) and can be used effectively in near-infrared applications (up to around 2.1 µm).

4. Density:

  • The density of N-BK7 is about 2.51 g/cm³, which is typical for high-quality optical glasses.

5. Thermal Properties:

  • N-BK7 has a thermal expansion coefficient of approximately 7.1 x 10⁻⁶ /°C, making it stable under varying temperature conditions.

6. Mechanical Properties:

  • It exhibits good mechanical strength and is resistant to scratching and shock, which aids in the durability of optical components made from this material.
