Product Description

Computer Generated Holography (CGH) is a leading technique used to do Optical Metrology for  Aspheric Mirror, which are crucial Optical Components in Optical System. optical aspheric mirror differs from traditional spherical mirrors by having a more complex surface profile that can reduce optical aberrations, leading to improved image quality and system performance. MG-Optics designs and manufactures custom CGH for aspheric mirror and optical system. The test accuracy can reach 1/100λ for the normal aspheric mirror. 

How CGH Works?

Holographic Pattern Generation: CGH creates a hologram that encodes the desired wavefront shape of the aspheric mirror surface. This hologram is calculated using advanced algorithms that take into account the specific optical requirements of the system.

Interference Testing: During the testing phase, the CGH is illuminated with a coherent light source, such as a laser. The light interacts with both the hologram and the reflected wavefront from the aspheric mirror being tested. The resulting interference pattern provides critical information about the mirror's surface accuracy.

Wavefront Measurement: By analyzing the interference fringes produced, one can determine deviations from the ideal surface profile. This allows for precise assessment of the mirror’s shape and quality.
